iPod® and MP3 Compatibility

Chevrolet has never been so connected. Just take a look at the iPod® and
MP3 compatibility in our new vehicles.

GM and iPod® are perfectly in tune with each other. That's because the
Personal Audio Link (PAL) allows you to play your iPod through your Chevrolet vehicle's audio system radio controls. It also lets you charge your iPod while it's plugged in. Most 2010 and newer Chevrolet vehicles are PAL compatible.

PAL was designed and engineered to be used exclusively with Apple® iPod. Unlike aftermarket solutions, it provides the user the ability to control the functions of the iPod by using radio controls and view the iPod information through the vehicle's radio display. And because Chevrolet vehicles' electrical systems recognize PAL as a compatible device, the performance of other electrical components — like a CD changer — will not be compromised.

The Portable Music Player Cable (PMPC) is compatible with any MP3 player, CD player or other device equipped with an audio output jack and allows you to listen to your music through your vehicle's speakers. Chevrolet vehicles equipped with a PMPC interface have an auxiliary input jack located on the lower right side of the radio faceplate.

And when you're in the market for a new 2010 or 2011 Chevrolet, be sure and ask about the Music Device Capability, a factory-installed option that is designed specifically for the iPod. The center console jacks enable playlists to appear on the car's radio display through conveniently located USB ports and auxiliary audio input jacks.
